My name is Lyimo, I live in Daraja mbili, one of the slum areas of Arusha. I am 34 years old and after form four at school I attended different trainings which helped build my capacity. Before joining LEAD Tanzania, I was working with different NGOs dealing with youth and children. I have been involved in voluntary activities in my church and within the community.
I have a passion to work with LEAD Tanzania as a field worker because LEAD works hard at serving people who are marginalized both spiritually, mentally and physically.
For me LEAD is a place where I am growing in my character, understanding my gifts both spiritually and physically. I seek to see holistic transformation of youth in the slums in which we work and to see the church grow stronger in Tanzania, particularly amongst my generation.
I desire to be a faithful servant of Christ and to be a steward of the mysteries of Christ -1 Corinthians 4:1.
